Yes Sir Boss are a 5 piece desert blues and mariachi rock based outfit, but realistically you’d need to go and see them live to truly get what they’re all about. Bristol based, their debut album “Desperation State” received a hugely positive response, as did their follow up album “King In A Rocking Chair”. They have extensively toured Europe as well as playing some of UK’s most popular festivals, including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Eden Festival and Kelburn Garden Party. They have also played some eclectic UK venues such as the London Jazz Café, the Bodega Social Club in Nottingham and Bristol’s own Fleece and Thekla as staple headline acts.
With the artwork of their site being designed by Charles Watkins, the appearance and theme was already tailored to their image. Their home page has all the relevant features, without being overly cluttered or crowded. Social network buttons, a newsletter signup plugin, a shortened list of their upcoming shows (with a link to their full gig listings) and recent news articles. It was important for them to have these features available when you first click onto yessirboss.com as they wanted people visiting the site to be able to access all of the relevant content, quickly and easily. For this reason there are clear menus displayed for easy navigation throughout the site.
As is the case with most bands, a presence on Google was especially important. Due to the fact that they could easily update their content like news and gig listings, their site was active and resulted in being the first result on Google when searching for the band. Not only this, but when you search Yes Sir Boss you are able to quickly link to several pages on their site, straight from Google.
