Bristol legends Babyhead have been kicking it for over a decade now with their dub rock and reggae sounds. They have been a live phenomenon in the clubs and on the festival circuit, rocking UK stages from Glastonbury to Fabric and world wire from New York fashion week to Thailand’s Smileyfest.
The sites home page was designed by Mancub Tom, with graphics and layout. The rest of the site was then arranged to suit the band’s needs. Pages like Gigs, News and Shop were important for them to advertise where they were to play, what they were up to and also to sell their merchandise. Another important page for the band was the contact page. This page allowed fans an easy way to get in touch with any messages, and also had the booking enquiries contact details there for promoters to access. Another useful page for promoters and press to access is the Press page, including downloadable press images and latest technical specifications sheets.
The interface of the site is quite open and clear, with menus displayed at the top throughout, which makes navigating the site easy. The home page displays all the relevant information including upcoming gigs, latest news and a brief introduction to the band.
As is often the case with bands, presence on Google is extremely important. Due to the large amount of activity and content from the site, it ranks highest on Google when searching the bands name. Even typing “Baby Head” has them at the top, which is especially impressive considering the name of the band could easily lead to new-born baby advice sites dominating the Google results!
